Carriers are deploying next generation services based on IP multi-media applications which combine voice, data, video and traditional IT services. These services require carriers to evolve their networks and data center infrastructure in order to handle the computing and IO intensive requirements with the same reliability, high availability and operating efficiencies over scale as their networks have handled traditional voice services.
