Carriers are deploying next generation services based on IP multi-media applications which combine voice, data, video and traditional IT services. These services require carriers to evolve their networks and data center infrastructure in order to handle the computing and IO intensive requirements with the same reliability, high availability and operating efficiencies over scale as their networks have handled traditional voice services.

Traditional general purpose servers cannot address the performance, scalability or operating requirements demanded by carriers for next generation services such as video on demand VoD and High-Definition IPTV. Carrier data centers are suffering the same problems experienced by enterprise data centers - they are too complex to manage and maintain, static and inflexible, inefficient and expensive to operate and scale.

The LiquidIQ fabric computing architecture is designed for carriers to provide the scalability, carrier grade design and built-in switching and IO capabilities they demand, and dramatically simplify the deployment, management and operating requirements of their data center infrastructure.
