The HyperTransport Technology Consortium is a non-profit organization that manages,
promotes and licenses HyperTransport Technology. The Consortium is responsible for
managing the HyperTransport technology and its specifications, as well as for
licensing it and promoting it to the industry at large. Promoter and contributor
members have the right to participate in and to influence the decisions made by
the Consortium’s Technical and Marketing Working Groups, the Consortium’s bodies
in charge of managing the HyperTransport specifications and the Consortium’s
marketing and public relations programs, respectively. The HyperTransport Consortium
consists of over 40 industry-leading member companies, including founding member
Advanced Micro Devices, Alliance Semiconductor, Apple, Broadcom, Cisco Systems,
NVIDIA, PMC-Sierra, Sun Microsystems and Transmeta.
